Alice Portz

Alice Portz has consulted and partnered with CEOs, Senior Business Leaders and Human Resource professionals of numerous companies to design and deliver programs that improve performance of individual leaders, management teams and accelerate the next generation of their leaders.

She brings over 25 years of business and leadership development consulting experience. Alice’s efforts are focused on facilitating customized leadership-development strategies to accelerate business results. She has extensive experience with feedback systems and coaching around performance enhancement at the individual, team, and organizational levels. She has designed customized solutions and experiences for a wide range of clients the help solve real business problems while building lasting capabilities in their leaders.

Alice has worked with global clients in a wide spectrum of industry sectors including retail, consumer goods, design, professional services, utilities, industrial goods and healthcare. Some current and past clients include: Walmart, Gap Inc, Nike, Avon, Johnson & Johnson, NBBJ Design, PwC, Mercer, PG&E Corp., CEMEX, Old Castle Materials, Gilead, Novartis, Sound Inpatient Physicians, Premera Blue Cross, Virginia Mason Medical Center, and Group Health Cooperative. Alice has worked with a variety of technology companies including: Concur Technologies, Sun Microsystems, sharebuilder.com, onlineshoes.com and drugstore.com. Alice has also worked extensively in Financial Services including BlackRock, Bank of America, Citi, XL Capital, Safeco and Allstate.

Alice is the past Northwest Chair for the Institute for Management Studies. She had General Management responsibilities overseeing the business. The Institute is an executive development organization bringing authors and world-renowned business leaders to conduct seminars and workshops in 26 cities worldwide.

Alice is a past adjunct faculty member with The University of Nevada Reno and has taught graduate level courses at National Louis University in Chicago, Illinois.

Alice is affiliated with Pivot Leadership, a Management Consulting Firm that develops leaders for the world’s most influential organizations and delivers Executive Development Programs worldwide. Alice ‘s publications include an article on “Developing Global Leaders Through Action Learning” in the Pfeiffer Annual on Leadership Development.

Alice has a BS in Health Sciences from Towson State University and a MS in Human Resource Development from National Louis University. She also did post graduate work in business and has an Executive Certificate in Business Strategy for the Development Professional from Northwestern University.

Alice resides in the Pacific Northwest of the United States with her family. Her community involvement includes a patron supporter of the University of Washington World Dance Program that brings dance and educational program from diverse cultures around the globe. Alice is also a founding champion and a past Advisory Board member of seeyourimpact.org, which is a revolutionary philanthropy to help those who are in need around the world through transparency of donations.
